From now on, SEO for Jobs also allows you to place your job ads as advertisements in Google Search to increase your visibility among potential applicants. First, log in to your SEO for Jobs account. To advertise, you must have a running package and at least one published job ad. On the welcome page, you will then see a window titled "Advertise". Click on "Place advertisement", a dialog will immediately appear with the most important information that should be preserved in the advertisement.

The texts are pre-filled from the information in your job advertisement. If you have placed several ads, select the one you want to advertise.

With the "Ad Boost" button you can advertise directly for your selected job ad.

Alternatively, you can also go directly to the respective job ad in your account and press the "Ad Boost" button at the bottom right. The window in which you can edit your ad will then also appear.

Here, too, the texts from the information in your job ad are pre-filled.

Editing your ad

The texts in the ad can of course also be edited manually. However, some important factors should be taken into account.

The two titles must not be longer than 30 characters each and the descriptions must not be longer than 90 characters. Which title or description appears in the ad is decided by Google. It varies whether only one or two titles and descriptions are shown. This also depends on whether the search is done from a mobile or desktop device.

The keywords should reflect the search intention of the potential applicants so that the ad also appears in the corresponding search results. In most cases, the different parts of the job title are used as a basis.

Google decides where to display the ad based on the location of the job. If a specific address or city is specified, the radius is limited to the immediate vicinity. If no concrete location is specified or only Danmark, the advertisement will be seen nationwide in the Google search for the corresponding search terms.

With the budget can be selected between four different prices. Each price guarantees a running time of the advertisement for 30 days. The decision which price is right for you depends on how many people you want to reach with your ad. The higher the price, the higher the reach.

How many people are actually reached varies greatly depending on the particular job ad. For example, a job posting for a marketing manager will reach more people than a job posting advertised for a nuclear physicist.


The phone number is taken from the respective user account at SEO for Jobs. You can adjust this in your user account at any time.

The linking of the ad corresponds to your selected apply method of the job ad. If you have stored a web page or PDF file for the applicants, the advertisement will also lead there. If you have stored an e-mail address, the complete job offer will be displayed with an e-mail button. With a further click on the button, the applicants can then write an e-mail directly.

Once you have finished editing the advertisement for your job offer, you will see a preview at the bottom of the page.
