Preferred Machine is looking to hire a 2nd shift Powder Coat Painter.
Daily duties
· Operate and maintain our GEMA powder coating equipment in the application room, which includes; manual spray guns, automatic spray booths, air hoses, and air guns.
· Preform preventative maintenance on booths including changing of air filters, replacing hoses when needed, replacing nozzle tips of spray guns or any other PM’s needed or directed by the Manager.
· Manually spray parts when needed and be able to perform manual color changes.
· Be comfortable operating an automatic spray booth which may include changing programs on software, executing color changes, changing out powder and adding more powder into hoppers when needed.
· Ensure proper paint adhesion is being applied to all parts.
· Be able to tell the difference between powder colors and always check color codes when switching out powders to ensure the correct powder is being used for that color run.
· Verify correct color using ERP process and functions.
· Keep communication with the other painter and Manager.
· Inform Manager about any issues or powder needs.
· Wear proper PPE in all areas of the line.
· Preform 5S daily in your area.
