Press Brake Operator

Preferred Machine is seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our 2nd shift team. As a Press Brake Operator, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal parts using a press brake machine. This is a hands-on role that requires mechanical knowledge, blueprint reading skills, and the ability to program and operate the press brake machine.

Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate press brake machine to bend, form, and shape metal parts according to blueprints and specifications
- Select appropriate tools, dies, and fixtures for each job
- Measure and inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers
- Perform routine maintenance on the press brake machine to ensure optimal performance
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job orders
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient production flow
- Follow all safety guidelines and protocols

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a Press Brake Operator or similar role
- Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of machining processes
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Ability to program, set up, and operate press brake machines
- Familiarity with hand tools commonly used in metal fabrication
