Onboarding

Onboarding refers to the process by which new employees are integrated into a company in order to familiarize them with their new role, tasks, corporate culture and work processes.

The aim of the onboarding process is to give new employees a smooth start, shorten their induction period and promote their long-term loyalty to the company.

The onboarding process can include various activities, including

  • Introduction: introducing the company, its history, values, goals and organizational structure.

  • Workplace preparation: Provision of work materials, workplace and technical equipment.

  • Training and induction: training on specific tasks, processes, systems and policies.

  • Mentorship: Assignment of a mentor or contact person to support new employees with questions and problems.

  • Integration: Integration into the team and networking through team activities, meetings and events.

  • Feedback and follow-up: Regular feedback and progress reviews as well as support in overcoming challenges.
