The PDCA cycle, also known as the Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle or Deming cycle, is a method for the continuous improvement of processes, products or services.
The cycle consists of four main phases:
Plan (Plan): In this phase, goals are set, problems are identified, data is collected and analysis methods are defined.
Implement (Do): In this phase, the planned measures are implemented, experiments are carried out and processes or solutions are implemented.
Check : In this phase, results and performance are monitored, data is analyzed and compared with the previously defined objectives.
Act: Based on the results of the review, adjustments are made in this phase, improvements are identified and measures for standardization or optimization are initiated.
The PDCA cycle enables organizations to continuously learn, adapt and improve their performance by systematically identifying problems, implementing solutions and evaluating their impact.
