We are seeking a skilled and motivated Heavy/Medium Duty Truck Diesel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working on diesel engines and heavy/medium-duty vehicles, with a commitment to delivering high-quality repairs and maintenance services.

Job Description:

As a Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and heavy-duty trucks. This role involves working on various truck models and equipment, ensuring vehicles are in optimal condition for operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy and medium-duty trucks, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.

  • Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic equipment and repair tools.

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and replace faulty parts, components, and systems.

  • Conduct preventive maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks.

  • Ensure vehicles comply with safety and regulatory standards.

  • Maintain accurate records of services and repairs performed.

  • Collaborate with the service team to prioritize and schedule maintenance tasks.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest diesel engine technologies and repair techniques.

  • Follow all safety protocols and ensure the workshop environment is clean and organized.

  • Communicate with customers (if applicable) regarding service needs and repairs.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a diesel mechanic or diesel technician, preferably with heavy-duty trucks.

  • Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, electrical systems, and troubleshooting techniques.

  • Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • High school diploma or equivalent (additional technical training or certifications in diesel mechanics is a plus).

  • Valid driver’s license (CDL is a plus).

  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities.

  • Ability to lift heavy parts and work in physically demanding environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with specific truck models and brands (e.g., International, Mack, Volvo).

  • Additional certifications in welding or other specialized skills related to heavy-duty vehicles.
