Key Responsibilities Develop CNC programs for 3-axis and 5-axis milling machines using CAD/CAM software. Select appropriate cutting tools, holders, and workholding strategies for various materials. Optimize machining processes to improve cycle times, tool life, and part quality. Simulate and verify CNC programs to detect potential collisions and ensure correct tool paths. Create and maintain detailed setup sheets, tool lists, and other manufacturing documentation. Collaborate with machinists and engineers to troubleshoot programming issues and improve efficiency. Support the introduction of new parts and processes, including first article inspection. Recommended Qualifications Minimum 3-5 years of experience in CNC mill programming and setup. Proficiency with industry-standard CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks CAM, Fusion 360). Expertise in G-code and M-code programming, including manual editing and optimization. Ability to interpret complex engineering blueprints, specifications, and GD&T. Strong understanding of cutting tools, materials, feeds, speeds, and machining principles. Bonus Qualifications Hands-on experience operating CNC mills or other machine tools. Proficiency in a 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor) for design modification or fixture design. Experience with multi-axis (4/5-axis) programming. Knowledge of DNC systems and post-processor optimization.
