Key Responsibilities Operate and monitor CNC Swiss Lathe machines to produce precision parts according to specifications. Perform machine setups, including loading programs, tooling, and making necessary adjustments. Conduct in-process and final inspections using various measuring tools to ensure quality and adherence to tolerances. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to determine part dimensions and material requirements. Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine alarms, tool wear issues, and quality deviations. Load raw material bar stock and unload finished parts, maintaining efficient machine operation. Perform routine machine maintenance, such as cleaning, lubrication, and checking fluid levels. Recommended Qualifications Proven experience operating and setting up CNC Swiss Lathes (e.g., Star, Citizen, Tsugami). Proficiency in reading blueprints, GD&T, and using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, comparators). Ability to perform in-process quality inspections and make necessary adjustments to machine offsets. Basic understanding of G-code and M-code for minor program edits and troubleshooting. Experience with tooling selection, installation, and maintenance specific to Swiss-style machining. Bonus Qualifications Proficient in G-code editing and optimization; experience with CAM software (e.g., PartMaker, Esprit) a plus. Experience operating and interpreting results from advanced metrology equipment (e.g., optical comparator, CMM). Demonstrated ability to perform minor machine maintenance and troubleshooting beyond routine operation. Experience across multiple CNC Swiss machine brands and control systems (e.g., Citizen, Star, Tsugami).
