Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings. Load raw material into automatic bar feeders and manage material changes. Perform in-process quality inspections using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges). Adjust machine offsets, tool wear compensations, and program parameters to maintain part specifications. Monitor machine operation, identify, and troubleshoot minor malfunctions or quality deviations. Perform routine tool changes, preventative maintenance, and maintain a clean work area. Recommended Qualifications Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience operating and setting up CNC Swiss Lathes. Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T. Demonstrated skill in using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators. Ability to perform in-process quality inspections, make offset adjustments, and troubleshoot common machine issues. Familiarity with G-code and M-code for basic program editing and machine control. Bonus Qualifications Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Esprit, PartMaker). Experience operating advanced metrology equipment (e.g., CMM, optical comparator). Demonstrated ability to perform minor machine maintenance and troubleshooting. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies. Experience training or mentoring junior operators.
