Key Responsibilities Set up, operate, and monitor Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and work instructions to produce precise components. Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges). Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine malfunctions or production issues. Adjust EDM parameters (e.g., pulse on/off time, current, voltage) to optimize machining processes. Perform routine preventative maintenance and cleaning of EDM machines and work areas. Document production data, including part counts, machine settings, and quality control results. Recommended Qualifications Proven experience operating Wire and/or Sinker EDM machines in a manufacturing environment. Ability to interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and understand GD&T. Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, depth gauges) for quality inspection. Demonstrated ability to perform machine setups, tool changes, and routine adjustments. Basic understanding of material properties and their impact on EDM processes. Bonus Qualifications Experience with CAD/CAM software for manufacturing applications. Familiarity with conventional machining processes (e.g., milling, turning). Basic machine troubleshooting and preventative maintenance skills. Experience operating CMMs or other advanced metrology equipment.
