Key Responsibilities Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products. Utilize precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMMs) to verify product specifications. Document inspection results accurately in quality management systems or on designated forms. Identify and report non-conforming materials or products, initiating appropriate containment and disposition procedures. Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and quality standards to ensure compliance. Calibrate and maintain inspection equipment according to established schedules and procedures. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions. Recommended Qualifications Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM). Strong understanding of quality control principles and manufacturing processes. Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify defects or non-conformances. Experience with documenting inspection results and maintaining quality records. Bonus Qualifications Experience operating or programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM). ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or Certified Quality Technician (CQT) certification. Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) software and data interpretation. Experience with ERP/QMS systems for quality data management (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
