The Opportunity We partner with manufacturers across Montague seeking Tooling Engineers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and improve manufacturing tooling, fixtures, and molds. Oversee maintenance, repair, and modification of existing production tooling. Troubleshoot and resolve tooling-related issues to minimize production downtime. Collaborate with production and design teams to optimize tooling for manufacturing processes. Manage external suppliers for tooling design, fabrication, and procurement. Implement continuous improvement initiatives for tooling performance and lifespan. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all tooling specifications and maintenance. Recommended Qualifications Solid experience in tooling design, development, and maintenance for manufacturing environments. Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA) and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T). Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as stamping, injection molding, or machining. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex tooling issues and implement effective solutions. Knowledge of tooling materials, heat treatments, and surface finishes.
