The Opportunity We are partnering with organizations in Mason that are seeking Tooling Engineers. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and optimize tooling, dies, jigs, and fixtures for manufacturing processes. Troubleshoot and resolve tooling-related production issues, implementing root cause analysis and corrective actions. Manage tooling projects from concept to production, including budget, timeline, and vendor coordination. Collaborate with manufacturing, design, and quality teams to integrate tooling solutions and improve efficiency. Conduct preventative maintenance planning and implement strategies to extend tooling lifespan and performance. Perform cost analysis and justification for new tooling investments and modifications. Ensure all tooling designs and operations comply with safety, quality, and industry standards. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field. Proven experience in tool design, fabrication, maintenance, and repair (e.g., molds, dies, fixtures). Proficiency with CAD/CAM software for tooling design and analysis. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as injection molding, stamping, or die casting. Knowledge of materials science, metallurgy, and heat treatment applications for tooling.
