The Opportunity We are collaborating with multiple companies in Ludington seeking experienced Robotics Technicians. Key Responsibilities Install, set up, and commission robotic systems and peripheral equipment in manufacturing cells. Perform routine preventative maintenance, calibration, and inspections of industrial robots to ensure optimal performance. Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical, mechanical, and software issues in robotic systems and automated machinery. Execute repairs, adjustments, and component replacements on robotic arms, end-effectors, and safety devices. Develop, modify, and optimize robot programs (e.g., teach paths, I/O configuration) for new or existing production processes. Collaborate with engineers and production teams to identify and implement improvements in robotic cell efficiency and reliability. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and system configurations. Recommended Qualifications Associate's degree or technical certificate in Robotics, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field. Minimum 2-3 years' experience with industrial robot programming, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance. Proficiency with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Human-Machine Interface (HMI) systems. Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic schematics and blueprints. Bonus Qualifications Experience with industrial vision systems (e.g., Cognex, Keyence). Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Rockwell, Siemens) or advanced robot programming languages (e.g., KUKA KRL, FANUC Karel). Familiarity with industrial networking protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Profinet). Basic proficiency in CAD software for fixture design or layout modifications.
