The Opportunity We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Plainwell that are seeking skilled Manufacturing Engineers. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency and quality. Design, procure, and validate tooling, fixtures, and equipment to support production. Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, improve productivity, and lower costs. Support new product introductions by defining manufacturing requirements and processes. Create and maintain detailed process documentation, work instructions, and specifications. Analyze production data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or a related engineering discipline. 3+ years of experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment. Demonstrated proficiency in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies. Strong command of CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for fixture and tooling design. Proven ability to troubleshoot complex manufacturing processes and implement effective solutions. Experience with process automation, robotics, or PLC programming. Bonus Qualifications Experience with robotic programming and automation systems. Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification. Proficiency in advanced manufacturing simulation software (e.g., Arena, FlexSim). Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or ERP integration.
