The Opportunity We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the St. Johns region seeking Manufacturing Engineers. Key Responsibilities Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency, quality, and cost reduction. Design, test, and implement production tooling, fixtures, and equipment. Lead new product introduction (NPI) activities from prototype to full-scale production. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for production issues and non-conformances. Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flows, and BOMs. Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives using Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, quality, production) to ensure manufacturability and resolve technical issues. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on process optimization and efficiency. Demonstrated proficiency in Lean Manufacturing principles (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping) and continuous improvement methodologies. Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for tooling, fixture, and process layout design. Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) processes and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot production issues and implement effective solutions.
