Business Intelligence Analyst II

Summary Databricks is looking for a dynamic, detail-oriented professional with strong communication and organizational skills to join our Global Events team. As a Senior Specialist, youll play a pivotal role in planning and executing high-profile events in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Responsibilities This person will focus on high-impact technical and strategic pillars, as part of a People Analytics team operating with our People (HR) org. Key tasks will be: Converting recurring manual requests across disparate data sources into automated, unified, self-service tools that speed time-to-insight and time-to-decision for the People/HR function. Supporting complex research projects and analyses to predict trends and prescribe actions related to People topics like hiring, retention, and engagement. Serving as a consultant and enablement provider alongside people analytics team members, translating workforce data and insights into actionable paths and building capabilities among users. Databricks tools (e.g. unity catalog, AI/BI dashboards) will be leveraged heavily. Location for this position can be anywhere in the U.S. Requirements Must Have: Advanced skills in BI tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI) Can identify data gaps in operational processes and propose solutions to close them Can synthesize complex information into clear, insightful takeaways Data governance and management Excellent verbal and written communication Strong grasp of SQL Nice To Have: Databricks Databricks AI/BI Databricks Unity Catalog Skills BI tools Tableau, PowerBI Data governance and management
