Position Overview
We are on the hunt for an enthusiastic, experienced Preschool Teacher who can lead young learners through a dynamic curriculum that supports their development. In this role, you will be the classroom guide—mentoring fellow teaching staff, fostering meaningful family connections, and crafting delightful daily experiences for every child.
Core Responsibilities
Design a secure yet stimulating setting for children aged 2–5
Craft lesson plans aligned with developmental milestones within our unique Little Scholars curriculum
Monitor each child's growth and maintain open communication with families
Lead your classroom team (including assistant teachers) with warmth and professionalism
Foster positive interactions with parents/guardians
Ensure adherence to NYC Department of Health (DOHMH) Article 47 guidelines
Partner with the Educational Director and colleagues to maintain consistency across classrooms
Engage in continuous professional growth activities including team meetings
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or similar discipline
Preferably holding or working towards New York State Teacher Certification (Birth–Grade 2)
At least two years of leading experience in preschool settings or childcare environments
Proficient understanding of age-suitable teaching practices
Strong skills in managing classrooms along with excellent interpersonal abilities
A deep passion for early childhood education coupled with dedication to lifelong learning
CPR/First Aid certification or readiness to acquire it
