**Job Title: Manufacturing Technician**

**Objective:**
The primary role of the Manufacturing Technician is to oversee all processes involved in the production of pharmaceutical soft gelatin products, ensuring compliance with formula specifications. The technician will maintain strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), guaranteeing both the quality and volume of the manufactured goods.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Operate and prepare various equipment necessary for soft gelatin production, including but not limited to Encapsulation Machines, Tumble Dryers, Drying Tunnels, Printing Machines, Capsule Sorters, and Inspection Belts.
- Attain proficiency in operating and performing basic maintenance on encapsulation machinery while also troubleshooting operational issues effectively.
- Maintain high-quality operation standards for all machinery used in soft gelatin production; execute thorough cleanings and efficient setup/changeovers.
- Rapidly diagnose and resolve machine malfunctions during production cycles to reduce downtime significantly.
- Accurately complete documentation related to batch records; ensure logbooks are meticulously maintained reflecting current operations.
- Make precise adjustments to processes and equipment as needed to adhere strictly to batch record guidelines; ensure cleanliness of equipment prior to initiating new product lots.
- Become adept at troubleshooting challenges specific to the soft gelatin encapsulation process.
- Conduct in-process testing for essential parameters such as seam thickness, hardness, burst strength, weight etc., using specialized equipment for quality assurance purposes.

Additional responsibilities may include involvement with Bottle Packaging Operations as well as support tasks within Formulations or Research & Development departments when necessary.

**Qualifications & Skills Required:**

- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of GMPs alongside experience within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment—specifically packaging or manufacturing—is highly favored.
- Proficient at interpreting a range of documents including SOPs safety protocols company guidelines maintenance instructions and machinery manuals
- Capable of effective communication with supervisors team members
Strong math skills capable of calculating figures accurately in both standard metric units
Demonstrated problem-solving abilities
Experience or knowledge relating other oral solid dose manufacturing technologies is beneficial
Basic computer literacy required
Availability for overtime work inclusive evenings weekends based on operational needs
