The Welder II Role Overview:

A Welder II is responsible for assembling, welding, and grinding Dahmes’ projects, and is capable of completing projects with minimal instruction from supervisors. In addition, this role is accountable for completing projects in a timely manner and maintaining a safe, clean & organized work environment.

Main Responsibilities would include:

Set-up and perform TIG & MIG welding to Dahmes quality standards; Hand Peen (hammer + block) stainless steel sheets after fit-up; Grind and polish metal to a sanitary finish using a variety of grinders; Read and interpret blueprints to manufacture sub-assemblies; Rig, lift and rotate parts and sub-assemblies using forklift & overhead crane; Perform proper fit –up and tacking of all components; Purge Welding Stainless Steel Tubing; Basic pipefitting.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of stainless steel welding (TIG/MIG) and fabrication experience

• Purge welding experience

• Ability to read blueprints

• Knowledge of various stainless steel polishing techniques and abrasives

• Ability to work well with others

• Forklift certification
