What does the “Apply” button say? [0c131488]

Every job posting on Google for Jobs displays an “Apply” button (often also called the Google Jobs Apply button). This button is labeled with the company name stored in your account. When you post your first job listing, it may take a little while for the button label to display correctly. The correct label usually appears after 24 hours.

Each G4J job posting displays a so-called “Apply” button. This button links to the job posting’s original website. The text on the button is automatically generated by Google.

Why isn’t my logo showing up? [01c50dab]

You have the option to upload a logo for each job posting. First, check whether the logo is uploaded in the editor. If Google for Jobs still displays a colored square with the first letter of your company’s name, it means Google has not yet indexed your logo and associated it with your account. In rare cases, it may take up to two weeks for the logo to be properly linked. However, this is a one-time process. Once the link is established, you can use the logo directly for your next job posting.

A separate logo can be added for each job posting. The logo appears in the list and in the detail view on Google for Jobs.

Tip: The logo on Google for Jobs is sometimes displayed very small (40px x 40px), so make sure the logo is easily recognizable even at a small size. Even if the logo is displayed only in a small size on Google for Jobs, you should still upload a file that is 600px x 600px in size.

Can I post job listings for different companies? [d04f1768]

If you’re a staffing agency or your company consists of multiple entities, you can post job listings for different companies using a single account. The only restriction here is the text on the “Apply” buttons. This is linked to the account. If you want the button text to be customized for each company, you’ll need to open a separate account for each one.

Can I specify multiple locations for a job posting? [221b18bf]

Google for Jobs does not allow you to specify multiple locations for a single job posting. If you have the same position available at multiple locations, you’ll need to create the position multiple times and specify the respective location each time. To do this, you can simply duplicate an existing job posting using the copy function.

How can I copy a job posting? [37240f5a]

Job postings often differ only slightly. You can easily duplicate any job posting and then modify it. To do this, follow these steps:

  • Select a job posting in your account

  • Click "..." in the upper-right corner

  • Select “Copy Job Posting”

You can easily copy any job posting. This makes maintenance much easier.

How can I place additional ads?

To use SEO for Jobs to also place your job postings as ads (also known as Ad Boost) in Google Search, you must have an active plan and at least one published job posting.

Log in to your SEO for Jobs account . On the welcome page, you’ll see a window titled “Advertising.” Click “Place an Ad,” and a dialog box will immediately appear with the key information that should be included in the ad.

Why can’t I see my ad? [8541268c]

Google uses the specifiedjob locationto determine where the ad is displayed. If a specific address or city is provided, the radius is limited to the immediate area. If no specific location is provided — or only “Germany” is specified — the ad will appear nationwide in Google Search for relevant search terms.

If your device is not at the specified location, the ad will not be displayed to you, even if you enter your work location in the search.

Once you’ve published your first job postings via SEO for Jobs, the integrated dashboard will automatically activate. It may take some time for data to become available here. You can access the dashboard by:

How can I find out how many applicants I’m getting through Google for Jobs? [312c2581]

SEO for Jobs tracking does not record the number of applications you receive, but only how many views your job posting has on Google for Jobs. Which of the potential applicants actually applies is beyond the scope of SEO for Jobs tracking. Applications are handled exclusively within your system, as this is typically managed via a contact form or an applicant tracking system.

However, you can determine for yourself whether applicants are applying through your ads on Google. To do this, you can check the UTM parameters:

  • Utm_campaign: google_jobs_apply

  • Utm_source: google_jobs_apply

  • Utm_medium: organic

How do I remove my job ads from Google? [201b1479]

Has your job posting been filled? Congratulations!

You can deactivate filled positions yourself in your account. If you use the Managed Service, our system checks at regular intervals to see if the job posting is still available on your website. If it no longer appears there, your job posting will be automatically removed from Google.

Generally, it may take a few days for the job posting to be completely removed from Google for Jobs.

How can I cancel my subscription? [67c30900]

If you are not satisfied with our service, you can cancel your subscription directly in your account.

To do so, log in to your account. Then select “Company” from the menu in the top right corner , next select “Plan & Payment” on the left, and then click the “Cancel” button below your plan.

After you cancel, your subscription will remain active until the end of the term. If you change your mind, you can reactivate the plan.

After cancellation and the expiration of the term, your active job postings will be deactivated and deleted from Google for Jobs. However, your account will remain active.

Instead of canceling, you can now simply pause your plan.

Pause your plan [2d8005e2]

If you don’t currently have any other job openings, you can easily pause your plan instead of canceling it right away.

How this works varies depending on the term of your selected plan. If you’ve signed up for a monthly plan, you can pause it for up to 12 months. You can select how many months you’d like to pause at a time in your account under “Pause Package.” Once the selected period has expired, your plan will automatically be reactivated.

If you’ve chosen a plan with an annual term, you can pause it for up to 3 months. Once the pause period ends, the plan will automatically resume.

You can cancel your pause at any time if needed and continue using your account. The remaining days of the pause will then be credited to your account. Please note that for any subsequent pauses, you can still only select full months and not individual days. If you cancel the pause, a new billing cycle will begin at that point, and you’ll receive a new invoice.
