Payroll Administrator

We’re looking for a meticulous and collaborative Payroll Administrator to oversee bi-weekly payroll processing for employees across multiple divisions. This role is essential to ensuring payroll accuracy, compliance, and integrity in compensation and benefits. You’ll work closely with HR and Accounting leadership to manage payroll inputs, validate employee records, and support internal controls and audits.

What You’ll Do:

• Accurately process bi-weekly payroll using Paycor for multi-state, multi-location teams

• Maintain detailed records of compensation, benefits, deductions, bonuses, and commissions

• Ensure payroll inputs align with HR control documents and employee updates

• Manage tax withholdings, reporting, and state tax code setups

• Partner with HR on new hires, terminations, pay changes, and status updates

• Support audits with payroll reports, reconciliations, and compliance documentation

• Act as the go-to resource for employee payroll questions and issue resolution

• Prepare payroll expense summaries, benefit reconciliations, and variance analyses

• Recommend process improvements and stay current on payroll laws and system updates

What You Bring:

• 3–5 years of payroll experience in a multi-state environment

• Experience with prevailing wage and certified payroll

• Familiarity with Paycor or similar HRIS/payroll systems

• Strong understanding of wage laws, benefit deductions, and payroll compliance

• General ledger experience and advanced Excel skills

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines

• Strong communication and collaboration skills across HR and Accounting

• Industry experience in construction, manufacturing, or commercial services is a plus
