Enthusiastic Psychology Teacher Needed in Westminster! Expanding Department

A forward-thinking school in Westminster is seeking a passionate and skilled Psychology Teacher to join their expanding Social Sciences department. This is an exciting opportunity for a Psychology Teacher to inspire students at Key Stage 4 and potentially KS5, developing their understanding of the human mind and behaviour through the study of Psychology. Location: Westminster Role: Psychology Teacher (Full-Time, Permanent)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging Psychology lessons across Key Stage 4 (and potentially KS5).
  • Inspire students to develop a deep understanding of psychological theories and research within Psychology.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Social Sciences to share best practice and enhance the Psychology curriculum.
  • Contribute to the assessment and monitoring of student progress in Psychology.
  • Potentially contribute to extracurricular Psychology clubs or discussions, fostering a deeper interest in Psychology.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Psychology.
  • Degree in Psychology or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching Psychology at Key Stage 4 (experience at KS5 advantageous).
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for the subject of Psychology.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to make Psychology accessible and engaging.
  • A commitment to fostering critical thinking and an understanding of human behaviour in Psychology.
