About the Role:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging Physics lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, following relevant examination specifications.
  • Plan and prepare high-quality lessons that cater to a variety of scientific interests and abilities, ensuring all students are challenged and supported.
  • Utilize a range of teaching methods and resources, including practical experiments, demonstrations, and technology, to enhance student learning.
  • Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support individual learning journeys.
  • Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Physics examinations, ensuring they have a strong understanding of assessment criteria.
  • Contribute to the development of the Physics curriculum and resources, integrating current scientific research and advancements.
  • Foster a love of physics in students, encouraging them to develop their analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities and enrichment programs related to physics and science.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Physics, including advanced topics.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, including A-Level.
  • Experience in preparing students for GCSE and A-Level Physics examinations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
  • A passion for physics and a commitment to fostering scientific inquiry.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
