An inclusive secondary school is seeking a dedicated and proactive Teaching Assistant to join their SEN provision as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive and dynamic environment, helping students with special educational needs to engage with the curriculum and thrive both academically and personally.

Role Highlights:

  • Full-time, permanent position at an inclusive secondary school
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support for students with a range of SEN
  • Assist teachers in delivering tailored lessons and support strategies
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Help students develop essential social, emotional, and academic skills
  • Support students with their personal care and mobility needs, as required
  • Work collaboratively with the SEN team, teachers, and other staff to create and implement individualized learning plans (ILPs)

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is desirable
  • A genuine passion for working with young people with SEN
  • Strong communication, patience, and empathy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A positive attitude and commitment to helping students succeed
  • Enhanced DBS check required
