Are you a passionate and engaging Teacher of History with a desire to inspire young men to explore the past and develop their critical thinking skills? We are seeking a talented individual to join our dedicated and supportive department in a boys' secondary school in Ealing.

About the History Department:
The History department is a collaborative and dynamic team with a shared passion for bringing the past to life and exploring its relevance to the present. We offer a rigorous and engaging curriculum that covers a wide range of historical periods and themes, from ancient civilizations to modern world history. We believe in making history relevant and accessible to all students, using a variety of teaching methods and resources, including interactive activities, debates, and historical simulations.
About the Role:
- Teach History across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of teaching at GCSE and A Level depending on experience and interest.
- Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities.
- Assess student progress, set targets, and provide constructive feedback to support individual learning journeys.
- Contribute to the department's curriculum development and resource creation, ensuring that our History curriculum remains relevant and challenging.
- Foster a love of history in students, encouraging them to explore the past and develop their critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues in the department and across the school to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching practice and keep abreast of the latest developments in History education.
- Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities, such as History clubs and trips to historical sites.
Ideal Candidate:
- Holds QTS or equivalent.
- Possesses excellent subject knowledge in History.
- Demonstrates a passion for teaching History and a commitment to student success.
- Has strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- Is confident in building rapport with students and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Has a good understanding of the National Curriculum for History and relevant examination specifications.
- Is committed to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
