Your Mission as the Dean of Accounting

The Dean of Accounting will provide strategic leadership in developing and managing cutting-edge academic programs in accounting and financial management. This role requires a forward-thinking academic leader who can bridge theory and practice through applied learning, industry collaboration, and global financial perspectives. The dean will ensure that students are equipped with analytical expertise, ethical grounding, and practical tools to thrive in today’s dynamic accounting and finance sectors.

You will be handling these duties and responsibilities as the Dean of Accounting:

• Lead the design, development, and continual refinement of accounting programs aligned with global financial standards and technologies.
• Ensure curriculum integration of key topics such as financial reporting, auditing, taxation, forensic accounting, and financial technology (FinTech).
• Support faculty in delivering research-driven and application-focused teaching.
• Build strategic partnerships with accounting firms, financial institutions, and certification bodies (e.g., ACCA, CPA) to enhance career opportunities for students.
• Oversee department budgeting, staffing, and resource allocation.
• Ensure compliance with accreditation requirements and maintain high academic standards.
• Promote ethics, transparency, and innovation in financial education and student learning outcomes.
• Represent the university in professional associations, conferences, and collaborative industry forums.

• • A Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of academic or industry leadership experience.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) is strongly preferred.
  • Proven expertise in financial reporting, auditing, tax, and accounting systems.
  • Experience in curriculum development, accreditation, and faculty leadership.
  • Strong understanding of emerging trends in financial technologies and global standards.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and strategic planning skills.
  • A commitment to applied learning, student development, and academic excellence.

Additional Information:

• Working Days & Hours: Sunday to Thursday, 9 am - 5 pm.
  
• Location: Tripoli.
