Reception Teacher Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and interactive lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Create a stimulating and nurturing environment that supports children's early development.
• Foster independence, curiosity, and a love for learning through play-based and structured activities.
• Assess and track children's progress, identifying next steps and providing individualized support.
• Work closely with teaching assistants, colleagues, and parents to ensure every child thrives.
• Build strong relationships with parents, providing regular updates on children's progress and well-being.
• Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities.

Reception Teacher Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Previous experience teaching in Early Years (Reception or Nursery).
• Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and early childhood development.
• Passion for creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A team player with a positive and flexible approach.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and best early years teaching practices.
