Reception Teacher Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and interactive lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Create a stimulating and nurturing environment that supports children's early development.
- Foster independence, curiosity, and a love for learning through play-based and structured activities.
- Assess and track children's progress, identifying next steps and providing individualized support.
- Work closely with teaching assistants, colleagues, and parents to ensure every child thrives.
- Build strong relationships with parents, providing regular updates on children's progress and well-being.
- Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities.
Reception Teacher Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Previous experience teaching in Early Years (Reception or Nursery).
- Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and early childhood development.
- Passion for creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A team player with a positive and flexible approach.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and best early years teaching practices.
