Programme Manager – Social Impact Leading and scaling a 200+ volunteer network supporting prison leavers into employment Central London (with travel to prisons) | Full-time | Salary TBC About the Organisation Our client is a growing charity focused on supporting prison leavers into sustainable employment and long-term reintegration. Through structured support, training and employer engagement, the organisation provides individuals with the opportunity to rebuild their lives and contribute positively to society. The Opportunity An opportunity has arisen for a Programme Manager to design, implement and lead a high-impact volunteer programme. This role will take ownership of an established network of 200+ volunteers, with responsibility for developing a structured, scalable and effective programme aligned to organisational growth. This is a hands-on position suited to someone comfortable building programmes from the ground up, while driving engagement across a diverse stakeholder group. Key Responsibilities Design and deliver a comprehensive volunteer programme aligned to organisational objectives Develop structured pathways across mentoring, employability, events and skills-based support Lead recruitment, onboarding and training of volunteers, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and prison-specific requirements Manage engagement and communications across a 200+ volunteer network Build and maintain relationships with corporate partners to support programme growth and funding Plan and deliver initiatives and events within both prison and community settings Oversee programme budgets, policies, reporting and impact measurement Ensure safeguarding standards and best practice are consistently applied Candidate Requirements Proven experience managing or developing large-scale programmes, volunteer networks or communities Demonstrated ability to design and implement initiatives from concept through to delivery Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage corporates, partners and community organisations Knowledge of safeguarding principles and experience working with vulnerable groups Highly organised, proactive and able to operate with a high degree of autonomy Experience within social impact, employability or criminal justice sectors would be advantageous, but is not essential.
