Lead Construction Manager (Level 4) Job Type: Contract (12 Months) | Location: On-site | Experience: 15+ Years Immediate Opportunity: We are seeking a seasoned Lead Construction Manager for a major, long-term infrastructure project with a premier energy sector client. Overview Our client is a leading, Fortune 200 energy infrastructure company with a massive portfolio of sustainable and traditional energy projects. They are undertaking a critical, large-scale construction initiative requiring expert leadership. We are looking for a Construction Manager - Level 4 Lead with over 15 years of experience to provide full-cycle oversight for a complex, high-value project. This is a hands-on, on-site leadership role demanding proven expertise in managing all phases of industrial or power generation construction from mobilization through commissioning and closeout. Key Responsibilities Provide overall leadership, direction, and management for the on-site construction team, including superintendents, engineers, and subcontractors. Serve as the single point of accountability for all construction activities, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety standards. Develop and implement detailed project execution plans, construction schedules, and resource-loaded plans. Manage the contract administration process, including change orders, claims mitigation, and subcontractor performance. Enforce a zero-incident safety culture, ensuring strict compliance with OSHA, client, and site-specific safety protocols. Lead daily/weekly coordination meetings with client representatives, engineering teams, and subcontractors. Monitor and report on project progress, financials, KPIs, and risks to senior management and stakeholders. Resolve complex technical and logistical field issues in real-time to prevent delays. Ensure quality control and assurance processes are followed per project specifications and industry standards. Manage project closeout, including punch list completion, documentation, and commissioning support. Required Qualifications & Experience 15+ years of progressive experience in construction management, with a minimum of 8+ years in a Lead/Senior Manager role on large-scale industrial projects ($100M+). Proven experience in the energy sector is mandatory: Power Generation (Combined Cycle, Solar, Wind, Nuclear), Transmission & Distribution (Substations, HV Lines), or Oil & Gas/Petrochemical. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. (Advanced degree or PMP a plus). Expert-level knowledge of construction means, methods, sequencing, and materials for heavy industrial work. Demonstrated mastery of project controls: CPM scheduling (Primavera P6/MS Project), cost management, and forecasting. Strong contract management skills with experience managing lump-sum, time & materials, and unit price contracts. In-depth understanding of safety regulations (OSHA 30), quality standards, and environmental compliance. Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills with a history of building high-performing teams. Must be willing and able to work on-site full-time for the duration of the contract.
