Travel Physical Therapist (PT) – Acute Care Lufkin, Texas Contract Duration: 12 Weeks (March 23, 2026 – June 15, 2026) Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,179.82 Schedule: Day Shift | 5x8 Hours (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) | 40 Hours Guaranteed Position Overview Trinity Healthcare Talent Services is seeking a Travel Physical Therapist (PT) for an acute care hospital in Lufkin, TX. The Physical Therapist will provide evaluation and treatment services to patients with a variety of medical and surgical conditions. This role focuses on restoring mobility, improving functional independence, and supporting patient recovery through evidence-based rehabilitation interventions. The therapist will work in a structured acute care environment with consistent patient assignments and minimal operational variability. Facility Information Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital Work Setting: Inpatient Acute Care Charting System: MEDHOST Dress Code: Wine-colored scrubs Clinical Coverage Areas Therapists will provide care for patients with: Post-surgical recovery needs Medical and mobility impairments Orthopedic conditions Neurological conditions Wound care (preferred experience) Key Responsibilities Perform patient evaluations and functional mobility assessments Develop individualized rehabilitation treatment plans Deliver therapeutic exercises and mobility interventions Manage a patient ratio of approximately 10:1 Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly Maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation (MEDHOST) Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams Educate patients and families on recovery and mobility strategies Required Qualifications Active Texas Physical Therapist License BLS Certification Minimum 6 months – 1 year of acute care experience Strong clinical and documentation skills Preferred Qualifications Wound care experience Experience in inpatient hospital settings Familiarity with MEDHOST EMR Scheduling & Assignment Details 40 hours guaranteed per week Day Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Call Requirement: 1 weekend per month No floating required No block scheduling or extended hours Important Notes No floating between units Travelers must reside more than 50 miles from the facility Submissions must include complete candidate information (home address and required documentation) Call-outs are discouraged and may impact assignment Position is for coverage during staff leave Compliance Requirements Candidates must complete all onboarding and compliance requirements including: Active state licensure verification BLS certification Skills checklist and competency validation Completion of onboarding and facility requirements Why Consider This Assignment Competitive weekly compensation Stable acute care environment No floating requirement Consistent patient assignments Opportunity to strengthen acute care clinical experience
