Travel Physical Therapist (PT) – Acute Care Hospital Alamosa, Colorado Contract Duration: 13 Weeks (March 16, 2026 – June 15, 2026) Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,316.30 Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM | 40 Hours Per Week Position Overview Trinity Healthcare Talent Services is seeking a Travel Physical Therapist (PT) for an acute care hospital setting in Colorado. This role involves providing both outpatient and limited inpatient rehabilitation services , focusing on improving patient mobility, reducing pain, and restoring functional independence. The therapist will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and support patients across various conditions and recovery stages. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and functional assessments Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, and manual therapy Assist patients with mobility, strength, and rehabilitation goals Educate patients and caregivers on recovery and home exercise programs Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams for optimal outcomes Care Setting Acute Care Hospital Primarily outpatient with some inpatient evaluation coverage Occasional floating between nearby clinic locations (within 15 miles) Patient Population Adults and geriatric patients Orthopedic and neurological conditions Post-surgical rehabilitation Chronic musculoskeletal disorders Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years of Physical Therapist experience (1 year may be considered) Active Colorado PT License or Compact License (required at submission) BLS Certification (AHA) Strong acute care and outpatient rehab experience Preferred Qualifications ACLS Certification Experience with acute care and outpatient hybrid settings Familiarity with EMR systems such as OBix, McKesson, or similar Scheduling & Assignment Details 40 hours guaranteed per week No block scheduling (standard weekday schedule) Occasional weekend coverage (approximately once every 2 months) Floating required within scope Important Notes Candidates must have license in hand at submission RTO must be finalized at submission (no RTO in first 2 weeks) Maximum 10 days RTO allowed Two recent supervisory references required Why Consider This Assignment Competitive weekly compensation Balanced outpatient + inpatient experience Stable weekday schedule Opportunity to work in a collaborative hospital environment Exposure to diverse patient populations
