Travel Physical Therapist (PT) – Acute Care Hospital Tyler, Texas Contract Duration: 13 Weeks (March 23, 2026 – June 22, 2026) Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,974.52 Schedule: Day Shift | 5x8 Hours (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM) | 40 Hours Guaranteed Position Overview Trinity Healthcare Talent Services is seeking a Travel Physical Therapist (PT) for an acute care hospital in Tyler, TX. The Physical Therapist will provide inpatient rehabilitation services to patients with a wide range of medical and surgical conditions. This role focuses on improving mobility, restoring function, and supporting patient recovery through individualized, evidence-based therapy interventions. The therapist will work closely with interdisciplinary teams in a fast-paced hospital environment. Facility Information Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital Work Setting: Inpatient Acute Care Charting System: Epic Clinical Coverage Areas Therapists will provide care for patients with: Orthopedic and post-surgical conditions Neurological disorders (stroke, TBI, Parkinson's, MS) General medical conditions Mobility and functional impairments Key Responsibilities Perform patient evaluations and functional mobility assessments Develop individualized treatment plans Deliver therapeutic exercises, gait training, and mobility interventions Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly Maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation (Epic) Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams Educate patients and families on recovery and discharge planning Required Qualifications Active Texas Physical Therapist License BLS Certification Minimum 1 year of acute care experience Strong clinical and documentation skills Preferred Qualifications 2+ years of experience preferred Previous travel experience Familiarity with Epic EMR Scheduling & Assignment Details 40 hours guaranteed per week Monday – Friday schedule Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM No specific weekend requirement mentioned Important Notes Candidates must not reside in restricted counties , including: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris Travel experience preferred but not required Strong adaptability required for acute care environment Modules are completed onsite and are non-billable Compliance Requirements Candidates must complete all onboarding and compliance requirements including: Active state licensure verification BLS certification Skills checklist and competency validation Completion of onsite orientation and modules Why Consider This Assignment Competitive weekly compensation Work in a modern acute care hospital setting Exposure to diverse patient populations Opportunity to strengthen acute care and EMR (Epic) experience Supportive interdisciplinary team environment
