Senior Project Manager Location: New Albany, Ohio Job Type: Full Time Contract Compensation: $53 to $60 per hour equivalent, exempt Work Environment: Fully onsite Travel: Up to 15 percent Driving Required: Yes About the Role The GOR Group is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and deliver complex construction projects in a mission critical environment. This role serves as a senior leader onsite and is responsible for the overall direction, execution, and financial performance of multiple projects. The Senior Project Manager leads project teams, drives delivery excellence, and builds strong relationships that support long term success. This is an exempt salaried position. Compensation is issued as a fixed weekly salary and broken down hourly for invoicing purposes only. What You Will Do Safety is the top priority. You will lead by example and ensure all work aligns with established safety programs and site policies. You will manage and lead project management teams, overseeing execution from planning through closeout while ensuring quality, schedule, and budget objectives are met. You will oversee subcontractors and vendors to ensure compliant, efficient, and high quality project delivery. You will manage installation strategies, applying industry best practices to complete work safely, on time, and within budget. You will be accountable for the financial performance of assigned projects, including cost control, forecasting, and reporting. You will prepare and present progress updates, performance metrics, and cost reports to stakeholders. You will manage labor, materials, and equipment resources to align with project schedules and financial plans. You will identify change events and implement effective change management strategies. You will foster strong working relationships with internal teams, vendors, and customers to support current and future opportunities. You will partner with estimating, engineering, and construction teams to provide subject matter expertise, including constructability reviews and value engineering. You will leverage construction technology platforms and software to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and cost outcomes. You will support continuous improvement efforts and Lean initiatives across the site. You will mentor and develop team members, anchoring training programs that support workforce continuity and professional growth. What You Bring Strong decision making ability with experience managing complex projects that require independent judgment. Deep knowledge of construction estimating, engineering best practices, and project delivery methods. Proven experience managing schedules, costs, and performance metrics on large scale projects. Solid understanding of construction accounting principles and cost forecasting. Ability to clearly communicate project information to all stakeholder levels. Advanced leadership, coaching, and team development skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to both small and large groups. Highly organized, detail oriented, and self driven with the ability to manage competing priorities. Ability to work under time constraints and adapt to changing requirements with a positive, solutions focused mindset. Proficiency with construction and business software including Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Procore, Textura, and related platforms. Required Experience and Education Associate or Bachelor degree in Construction Management or Construction Engineering. Equivalent experience may be considered. Minimum of eight years of progressive experience in the construction industry in a management or leadership role. Demonstrated experience managing large, multi million dollar projects across various construction markets. Strong preference for experience supporting mission critical or data center construction projects. Experience managing teams of fifty to one hundred or more technicians onsite. Experience with multiple project delivery methods including fixed price, cost plus, GMP, design build, and time and material. Preferred Certifications OSHA 30 Hour Certification or ability to obtain within six months BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer BICSI Registered Telecommunications Project Manager PMI Project Management Professional Supervisory Responsibility This position includes direct reports.
