Lean Manufacturing Engineer | Portage, MI Salary Range: $78,000 - $118,000 depending on experience Are you a meticulous professional with a passion for excelling in lean manufacturing engineer? The Opportunity We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Portage region seeking Lean Manufacturing Engineers. Key Responsibilities Lead and facilitate Kaizen events and continuous improvement initiatives. Conduct Value Stream Mapping (VSM) to identify waste and optimize production processes. Implement and sustain Lean tools such as 5S, Standard Work, SMED, and visual management. Analyze manufacturing data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement. Develop and deliver Lean training programs for employees at all levels. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and achieve operational excellence. Utilize root cause analysis techniques to solve complex manufacturing problems and prevent recurrence. Recommended Qualifications Proven expertise in Lean methodologies such as Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Kaizen, SMED, and Standard Work. Demonstrated experience leading and implementing continuous improvement projects in a manufacturing environment. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills. Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field. Ability to effectively train, coach, and mentor manufacturing teams on Lean principles and tools.
