Key Responsibilities Perform welding operations according to blueprints and specifications using various welding techniques. Inspect welds for quality, integrity, and adherence to standards, identifying and rectifying defects. Set up and operate welding equipment, ensuring proper calibration and maintenance. Prepare materials for welding, including cleaning, grinding, and fitting components. Troubleshoot and resolve welding issues to maintain production efficiency. Maintain accurate welding records and documentation. Adhere to safety protocols and procedures in the workshop environment. Assist in the selection and procurement of welding consumables and equipment. Recommended Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary welding certification preferred. Proven experience in various welding processes (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick). Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols. Proficiency in operating and maintaining welding equipment. Strong understanding of metallurgy and weldability of different materials. Experience with quality control and inspection procedures for welds.
