Weld Technician - Wayland Area

The Opportunity We partner with manufacturers across Wayland seeking Weld Technicians who want more than a lateral move. Key Responsibilities Perform welding operations according to blueprints, specifications, and quality standards. Set up and operate various welding equipment, including but not limited to MIG, TIG, and stick welders. Inspect welds for quality, integrity, and adherence to standards using visual inspection and appropriate measuring tools. Prepare metal surfaces for welding by cleaning, grinding, and beveling. Troubleshoot welding equipment and processes to identify and resolve issues. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety regulations and procedures. Perform routine maintenance and calibration on welding equipment. Fabricate and assemble metal components and structures as required. Recommended Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in welding preferred. Proven experience with various welding processes (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick) and associated equipment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding specifications. Strong understanding of welding safety procedures and practices. Proficiency in operating and maintaining welding equipment and tools. Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform precise work.
