Key Responsibilities Lead the development and implementation of manufacturing processes for new products. Collaborate with R&D and design teams to ensure Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Assembly (DFA). Specify, procure, and validate new equipment, tooling, and fixtures required for NPI. Manage and execute pilot production runs, identifying and resolving manufacturing issues. Develop and maintain comprehensive manufacturing documentation, including work instructions and BOMs. Monitor and improve product yield, quality, and cycle time during the NPI phase. Support supplier qualification and manage supplier readiness for new components and processes. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical) or a related technical field. 3-5+ years of experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) or manufacturing engineering within a high-volume production environment. Demonstrated expertise in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, tooling, fixtures, and production line optimization. Proven project management skills, including driving timelines and coordinating cross-functional teams from design to mass production. Experience with root cause analysis, process validation, and continuous improvement methodologies. Bonus Qualifications Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification. Experience with advanced PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems. Familiarity with automation, robotics, or additive manufacturing processes. Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis tools.
