Key Responsibilities Ensure the Quality Management System (QMS) complies with IATF 16949 requirements. Lead APQP and PPAP activities for new product introductions and engineering changes. Investigate and resolve internal and external quality issues using structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys). Conduct internal audits and support external IATF 16949 certification audits. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and process reliability. Monitor key quality performance indicators and implement corrective and preventive actions. Collaborate with suppliers to ensure incoming material quality and resolve supplier non-conformances. Recommended Qualifications In-depth knowledge and practical application of IATF 16949 standard requirements. Proficiency in Automotive Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC). Demonstrated expertise in structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa). Minimum 3-5 years of quality engineering experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment. Experience conducting internal and/or supplier audits to IATF 16949. Strong analytical skills with proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis tools. Bonus Qualifications Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification. Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP). Experience with specific ERP Quality Management modules (e.g., SAP QM, Oracle QMS). Direct experience managing customer quality concerns or presenting quality data to customers.
