The Opportunity We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Caledonia region seeking Incoming Inspection Technicians. Key Responsibilities Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, components, and sub-assemblies against engineering specifications and purchase orders. Utilize various precision measuring tools and equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMM, to verify conformance. Document inspection results accurately, including acceptance, rejection, and measured values, in designated quality management systems. Identify and segregate non-conforming materials, initiating non-conformance reports (NCRs) and coordinating with relevant departments for disposition. Maintain detailed and organized records of all inspection activities and material certifications. Collaborate with purchasing, engineering, and production teams to resolve material quality issues and improve supplier performance. Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) for new or revised components as required. Recommended Qualifications Proficiency with precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges). Ability to accurately read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications (including GD&T). Basic understanding of quality control principles, inspection methods, and non-conforming material processes. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify visual and dimensional defects. Competency in data entry and basic computer applications for record-keeping. Bonus Qualifications Experience with advanced metrology equipment (e.g., CMM operation/programming, XRF, optical comparators). Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) principles. ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT) or similar quality certification. Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for quality data entry and material tracking.
