Ensure all fabricated components meet specified quality standards and tolerances. Lead, train, and mentor a team of fabrication technicians and operators. Manage production schedules, material flow, and resource allocation for fabrication projects. Implement and enforce all safety protocols and best practices within the fabrication department. Conduct regular equipment maintenance checks and troubleshoot operational issues. Collaborate with engineering and production planning to optimize fabrication processes for efficiency. Recommended Qualifications Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience in metal fabrication, including welding (MIG, TIG), machining, and assembly. Proven leadership or supervisory experience within a manufacturing or fabrication setting. Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications. Strong understanding of fabrication safety protocols, quality control standards, and lean manufacturing principles. Ability to train, mentor, and effectively manage a team of skilled fabricators. Bonus Qualifications Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for programming and design. Certification in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies. Experience with ERP/MRP systems for production planning and inventory management. Advanced welding certifications (e.g., CWI) or specialized fabrication process expertise (e.g., laser cutting, waterjet).
