Key Responsibilities Set up, operate, and monitor CNC Swiss lathes to produce precision parts according to specifications. Perform in-process and final inspection of machined components using precision measuring instruments. Install, adjust, and replace cutting tools, collets, and guide bushings. Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and manufacturing work instructions. Make minor program adjustments, offsets, and tool compensations to maintain part quality. Conduct routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication. Troubleshoot production issues and identify root causes for non-conforming parts. Recommended Qualifications Minimum 2-3 years direct experience operating CNC Swiss-type lathes. Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering blueprints, including GD&T. Demonstrated ability to set up tools, offsets, and fixtures for complex parts. Skilled in using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, optical comparators) for in-process inspection. Basic understanding of G-code and M-code for program adjustments and troubleshooting. Bonus Qualifications Familiarity with specific CNC control systems (e.g., Fanuc, Citizen, Star). Proficiency in interpreting complex engineering drawings, including GD&T. Experience with CMM or other advanced metrology equipment. Basic machine maintenance or troubleshooting skills.
