Read and interpret blueprints, G-code, and technical drawings. Perform in-process quality inspections using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges). Monitor machine performance, troubleshoot alarms, and adjust offsets to maintain part quality. Conduct routine machine maintenance, including cleaning, tool changes, and fluid checks. Document production output, scrap, and quality control data accurately. Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area. Recommended Qualifications 2+ years of experience operating CNC Swiss-type lathes (e.g., Star, Citizen, Tsugami). Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering blueprints, including GD&T. Skilled in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and optical comparators. Ability to read, understand, and perform minor edits to G-code and M-code programs. Experience with machine setup, tooling selection, and offset adjustments. Bonus Qualifications Experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Esprit, PartMaker) for program modification or generation. Proficiency with advanced metrology equipment like CMMs, optical comparators, or surface profilometers. Demonstrated ability to perform minor machine troubleshooting and preventative maintenance. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen) and continuous improvement methodologies. Experience in optimizing tooling and setups for improved efficiency and cycle times.
