Key Responsibilities Develop and implement supplier quality assurance programs and procedures. Conduct supplier audits (on-site and remote) to assess quality systems and compliance. Review and approve supplier quality documentation, including First Article Inspection (FAI) reports. Monitor supplier performance through key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions for non-conformances. Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement. Manage incoming material inspection processes and disposition non-conforming materials. Participate in new product introduction (NPI) activities to ensure supplier readiness and part quality. Train and mentor internal teams and suppliers on quality requirements and best practices. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or a related technical field. Proven experience in supplier quality management, auditing, and development within a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949) and relevant industry standards. Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies such as SPC, FMEA, PPAP, CAPA, and root cause analysis. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Experience with supplier qualification, performance monitoring, and risk assessment processes. Bonus Qualifications - Experience with statistical process control (SPC) software and analysis. - Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies. - Certification in ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or similar. - Experience with root cause analysis tools like 8D, 5 Whys, or Fishbone diagrams.
