Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dimensional and visual inspections of first article parts against engineering specifications. Utilize a wide range of precision measuring equipment, including CMMs, calipers, micrometers, and optical comparators. Generate and maintain accurate First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs), including AS9102 forms. Identify, document, and report non-conformances or deviations from specifications. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure product conformity. Verify material certifications and special process approvals as required by specifications. Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of inspection tools and equipment. Recommended Qualifications Proficiency in interpreting complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Expertise in using precision measurement tools, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and CMMs. Strong understanding and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100) and inspection methodologies. Demonstrated ability to accurately document inspection results and generate comprehensive First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs). Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills for identifying critical non-conformances.
