Key Responsibilities Develop and implement quality standards and procedures for suppliers. Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality requirements. Monitor supplier performance through key quality metrics and scorecards. Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions. Review and approve supplier quality documentation, including PPAPs and control plans. Drive continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers to enhance product quality and reduce defects. Manage incoming material inspection and testing processes. Participate in new product introduction (NPI) and product development processes to ensure supplier readiness. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related technical field. Proven experience in supplier quality management, auditing, and development within a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949) and relevant quality tools (e.g., APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC). Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to identify root causes and implement effective corrective actions. Experience with supplier qualification processes, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives. Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers. Bonus Qualifications - Experience with Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing methodologies. - Familiarity with APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) and PPAP (Production Part Approval Process). - Knowledge of statistical software packages (e.g., Minitab, JMP). - Certification in ASQ CQE (Certified Quality Engineer). - Experience with root cause analysis tools such as 8D, Fishbone, or 5 Whys.
