Key Responsibilities Process accurate and timely bi-weekly or weekly payroll for a high volume of hourly and salaried employees, including complex overtime and shift differential calculations. Maintain precise payroll records, employee data, and ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, as well as company policies. Reconcile payroll general ledger accounts, bank statements, and deduction registers, ensuring accuracy and proper allocation of labor costs. Administer and process all payroll-related deductions, including benefits, garnishments, 401k contributions, and union dues where applicable. Manage and optimize timekeeping systems, ensuring accurate capture of employee hours, breaks, and attendance for manufacturing staff. Respond to and resolve employee payroll inquiries and discrepancies in a timely and professional manner. Generate and distribute various payroll reports for management, finance, and tax purposes, including labor cost analysis and headcount reporting. Recommended Qualifications Full-cycle payroll processing experience for a high volume of employees, including hourly and salaried. In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations. Proficiency with major payroll software (e.g., ADP, UKG, Workday) and integrated timekeeping systems. Experience processing payroll in a manufacturing environment, including union contracts, shift differentials, and production incentives. Demonstrated accuracy, strong attention to detail, and ability to handle confidential information. Bonus Qualifications Experience with payroll processing for shift differentials, production bonuses, or union contracts. Proficiency with time and attendance systems commonly used in manufacturing (e.g., Kronos/UKG, ADP eTIME). Understanding of general ledger integration and cost center allocation in a manufacturing environment. Advanced Excel skills for complex data analysis and reporting.
