About the Role The Senior Marketing Manager will play a key leadership role in shaping the firm’s external brand voice and driving marketing strategies that support both immediate business development needs and longer-term growth objectives. This position will lead and support pursuit strategies for new business opportunities, develop customized proposal responses and marketing materials, and help strengthen future pursuits through internal and client debriefs. This role will also oversee public relations initiatives, build relationships with local and national media, and create strategies that promote key projects and firm expertise. Additional responsibilities include managing the annual blog calendar, writing and supporting thought leadership content, coordinating award submissions, interviewing project teams to develop compelling project stories, supporting project photography planning, and developing digital marketing campaigns that highlight active work and subject matter expertise. The Senior Marketing Manager will also help identify speaking opportunities at conferences and industry events, assist the Marketing Director with the annual marketing plan and budget, and provide guidance and support to the Marketing Coordinator. This is a hybrid role based in Portland, Oregon. Requirements 8+ years of marketing and/or communications experience required Experience in the Architecture, Engineering, or Construction (A/E/C) industry preferred Bachelor’s degree or higher in English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, or a related field required Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Strategic, creative, and solutions-oriented mindset Experience managing or mentoring team members Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Interest in learning the technical aspects of architecture Ability to adapt in a fast-changing environment Strong time management and self-direction Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Experience contributing to thought leadership initiatives Familiarity with Adobe InDesign is a plus Experience with Cosential or Unanet CRM systems is a plus Ability to commute to Portland, OR required Compensation: $80,000–$100,000 per year Work Location: Hybrid remote in Portland, OR
