Computational Scientist

We are seeking a highly analytical and innovative Computational Scientist to join our research and development team. This role focuses on applying advanced computational methods, mathematical modeling, and data analysis techniques to solve complex scientific and engineering problems. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in scientific computing, numerical modeling, and algorithm development, with the ability to translate complex data and simulations into actionable insights that support research, product development, and strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement computational models and simulations to analyze complex scientific or engineering systems. Apply numerical methods, algorithms, and statistical techniques to large datasets and simulation outputs. Design and optimize computational workflows for high-performance computing environments. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including engineers, data scientists, and researchers to address complex technical challenges. Interpret simulation results and translate findings into clear reports and technical documentation. Maintain and improve existing modeling frameworks and simulation tools. Evaluate emerging computational methods and integrate new technologies where appropriate. Ensure reproducibility, validation, and accuracy of computational models and analyses. Required Qualifications Masters or PhD in Computational Science, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline. 3+ years of experience in computational modeling, scientific computing, or simulation-based research. Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, C++, Fortran, or MATLAB. Experience with numerical methods, algorithm design, and scientific data analysis. Familiarity with high-performance computing (HPC) environments and parallel computing frameworks. Experience working with large datasets and scientific visualization tools. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with machine learning techniques applied to scientific or engineering problems. Familiarity with GPU computing and parallel programming frameworks such as CUDA or OpenMP. Experience working in industries such as energy, aerospace, pharmaceuticals, materials science, or advanced manufacturing. Knowledge of cloud-based computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Compensation and Benefits Annual Salary: $115,000 – $165,000, depending on experience, education, and technical expertise.
