Key Responsibilities Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, components, and sub-assemblies against specifications. Verify accuracy of accompanying documentation, such as Certificates of Conformance (CoCs) and material certifications. Identify, document, and segregate non-conforming materials according to established procedures. Utilize and maintain various inspection tools and equipment, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Record inspection data accurately in quality management systems or designated logs. Initiate and support Material Review Board (MRB) processes for rejected materials. Collaborate with purchasing, engineering, and suppliers to resolve quality issues related to incoming materials. Recommended Qualifications Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges). Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Familiarity with AQL (Acceptable Quality Limit) sampling plans and basic quality standards. Experience accurately documenting inspection results and identifying non-conforming materials. Basic computer literacy for data entry and utilizing quality management software. Bonus Qualifications Experience operating or programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM). Familiarity with ERP or MES systems for quality data management. Basic understanding of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) or 8D problem-solving methodology. Knowledge of ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality management system principles.
